END OF THE FIRST SEMESTER OF COURSES AT THE ICBIE

The first semester of the year 2023 brought more breath to the ICBIE, which since the pandemic period kept its doors closed for almost 3 years! This meant a period of great sadness and emptiness within the walls of our big house.

However, since the middle of last year, the institute has been slowly resuming its activities and returning to the normal flow of events and classes. This first semester of 2023 included English, capoeira and dance classes for the elderly!

The English classes started in February, with 3 classes on Saturdays: Basic English, Pre-Intermediate English, and Intermediate English, all taught by our collaborator Meg Boaventura. The capoeira classes have been active since January, taking place every Monday and Wednesday nights at the ICBIE headquarters, always taught by the teacher and Mestre Avestruz. The dance classes had nice students, all women, more mature and full of charisma. Our collaborator Thalita Sueli is in charge of these lively classes.

Due to the June recess, the classes were suspended until next July, when the second semester of 2023 will start. And new registrations will be opened. By the way, we already have a new activity scheduled to start in July, which will be the Hapkido classes taught this time by Romário Marinho, a former student of the institute who is now back as a teacher!

Expectations for 2023 are great. See you there!
