This is wonderful news! Tomorrow night, our friends at the Pan American School of Bahia (PASB) are putting on a big charity Fashion Show on our behalf! For the last three years, we have benefited from the generosity of the good people at PASB, thanks to a fortunate series of coincidences that link them with our friends at the American Overseas School of Rome. In the past, they have donated computers and provided support for the Engineers Without Borders, but now they have organized this high-caliber fundraiser for us (together with the Ajuda Social á Criança association), and we are extremely grateful to them, as it comes from the opposite end of Salvador’s social strata. Just the idea that this prestigious school, frequented by the children of the city’s movers and shakers, can so generously assist our humble work in the cidade baixa represents an inspiring example of solidarity, beyond the mere raising of money.
