Raindrops Keep Falling…

Rainy Sunday

All the exciting things going on at the ICBIE somehow fade into the background,  obscured by three weeks of dramatic tropical rainstorms.  At least ten times a day, the heavens burst open with deluges, flooding everything and causing all kinds of problems for the populace, blocking traffic, setting off landslides and interrupting the daily life on the city’s streets.

One tragic example: our friend Davide Diacci made the unfortunate decision to change the roof on his house, and the incliment weather has driven him to despair, spending night after night mopping up the torrents, while the frequent storms prevent him from making any progress during the days.

At the ICBIE, we quietly attend to business under cover, waiting for the sun to return.

Marco and Bogus fiddle around

down come the torrents
