Other Courses And Workshops

In addition to the foreign language courses, the ICBIE, in collaboration with other institutions and associations, as well as with the help of Brazilian and foreign volunteers, offers professional courses and short term workshops with an artistic, educational and social focus.

Since 2006, courses have been offered in basic and advanced computer science, computer maintenance, screen printing, computer graphics, observation drawing, singing and choral singing, theater, music, fashion and modeling, art history, citizenship and group management, artistic mosaic techniques, marketing, Portuguese for Enem, introduction to photography, popular guitar and chorinho, wind instruments, hapkido, capoeira and rowing.

The ICBIE has also offered a vast variety of workshops, including cocktail and beverage making, writing for the Enem exam, clothing customization, singing, graffiti, and Afro-dance, among others.

Throughout the years, the promotion of these activities has been a way to strengthen citizenship, the generation of jobs and income, and the improvement of the quality of life of the communities of the Itapagipe peninsula, in Salvador’s Lower City.
