Of all the wonderful developments that have animated the ICBIE and that have made 2009 a truly amazing year for us, the Oficine de Rua Project tops them all. With concrete support from the Emilia Romagna region in Italy and the City of Salvador, it has brought the first public financing of our work, permitting an expansion of ICBIE programs and, importantly, an opportunity for our veteran students to assume roles of responsibility, as shown by the marvellous work of Júlio Costa, the director of the Project.
It seemed a pity to have this wonderful story, complete with its rich collection of gorgeous photos, languish amidst the back pages of this blog, so I threw together an iMovie presentation that traces the proper sequence of events up until now.
