Sixth Annual Italian party at the ICBIE
On Sunday 16th December, the long-awaited moment for the association’s historical friends attending the ICBIE took place: Italian Night!
The event began at 17:00 with a screening of an interview made for RAI TV of Bernando Bertolucci, the famous Italian director and screenwriter who spoke, in November of this year, about his famous film: Last Tango in Paris. Subsequently, a cinematographic work was shown, which took South Africa as its scenario, made by the special guest of the evening, Alberto Iannuzzi, an Italian director who had a direct contact with Berardo Bertolucci.
The event followed with the famous wine auction, with Pietro Gallina presenting international wines, most of them Italian. During intervals in the auction, there were recitations of poems in Portuguese, English, Italian, French and German, which starred respectively Meg Boaventura, Carole Bleau and Roy Zimmerman, Jan Rzewski, Sabine Rozen and Anna Clementi.
The evening was concluded with an incredible concert by the Italian singer Anna Clementi and the saxophonist Jan Rzewski, giving us their repertoire of various international compositions.

To end the evening in a properly, Pietro Gallino and Lucidalva Santana (our dear Lu) made a wonderful cocktail, serving it for those present. Among the appetizers we had a delicious pasta all’amatriciana and a broth of aipim.
The whole event had TV LIS vídeo coverage. The concert musicians, the artistic director of the association, Pietro Gallina, and the director Alberto Iannuzzi were interviewed, and we had our Marcella Sgura as reporter and translator.
