Rome, May 4, 2016
Dear Prof. Pietro Gallina,
I am sending you the official motivation relating to the Sympathy Award 2016 that will be delivered Monday, May 23 at 18:00 in the Protomoteca room at the Capitol in the presence of the Honorary Committee, Jury and other City Authorities.

Motivation:

To foster the historical and cultural ties that bind Italy and Brazil is the goal of ICBIE, a non-profit association that it was founded by Pietro Gallina, with its first headquarters in Salvador, Bahia in Brazil, but also operating in Italy since 2005, in close collaboration with municipalities, organizations and schools.
Peter Gallina and his wife Marlene Rosa de Souza, moved by a passion for art and teaching, gave birth to the creation of a cultural center and a multidisciplinary popular school in a building they bought in Brazil, to welcome many young students. In Italy, teaching programs of Italian and Portuguese language, support for Brazilians in our country, promotion of responsible tourism and numerous other initiatives to disseminate to Brazilian cultures are among the activities it covers the NGO, whose guiding purpose is always focused upon international cooperation, exchange and cultural work among people.

For their constant care. and with hope that this support network and integration grows over time, the Sympathy Award 2016!

Yours sincerely.
