From 28/11 to 20/12 a festival will be held to celebrate ten years of activity of the ICBIE, an association that, as many know, works to promote culture and the arts in Ribeira, in the historic ‘Cidade Baixa’ of Salvador da Bahia.
The festival has planned 22-23 days of intense programming, where each of the events is dedicated to the various activities that take place in the institute. Various artists, both from Bahia and from abroad, have been invited to participate, bringing music, painting, poetry, street art and many other things!
The program will open with the ‘EBM’ (Exposition, Bazaar and Music), followed by another dozen events with musicians such as Jaren Rzeswky and Anna Clementi, with the famous photographer Max Gaggina, with the painters Romeníl, Gessica Lima, Leonel Mattos and Menelaw Sete, and with live graffiti with Julio, Bigode e Nova 10 ordem.
During the closing evening, ‘Leonardo Prizes’ will be awarded to all the people who have had an intense rapport with the ICBIE. The final event will be the drama ‘Navio negreiro’, by Castro Alves, interpreted by the members of our theatrical laboratory, directed by Pietro Gallina.
