III Meeting of the Itapagipe Forum of Performing Arts

Organizing Commission of Antônio, Rita Amália Carreiro, Almi César, Douglas Reis, Ravi, Taciane, Carlos, João.
The FITAC wants to redeem the cultural strength of the Itapagipe Peninsula region, bringing together local artists to discuss salient issues of the local art scene, as well as assessing the possible alternatives to attracting a new audience, focusing on the audience that lives in the Peninsula but, for different reasons prefers the cultural planning of the historic center and its surroundings.
The meeting, divided into 3 distinct moments, began with a debate to present the point of view of the groups regarding the difficulties that each one faces, as well as the ways to resolve these situations.
The mediators of the dialogue were the representatives of the organizing committee: Almi César and Douglas Reis:
The topics discussed during the debate were
• Loss of group participants – the difficulty of planning performances when members of theatrical groups leave the group for school / work reasons
• Competition with youtube / virtual spaces of culture
• Support and incentive for families to counter the belief that the study of the arts at school is something secondary and less important
• Disregard of the community, even if it receives material support for publicizing the shows
• Lack of space for dissemination and marketing, such as cultural planning, etc.
• View of the community on the theater as something inaccessible, complex and “not for me”
• Absence of other artistic languages in institutions and groups that allows more people to identify with artistic production
• Training to participate in calls for cultural projects
• Openness and visibility of the spaces, this makes it difficult to constrain and create a habit of attending associations and cultural spaces
• Adopt branched outreach networks – mouth-to-mouth disclosure starting from the people of the groups and institutions that act as disseminators
At the end of the debate the mediators, Ravi Lucas and Carlos Luz, presented possible strategies for the solution of the issues addressed, and after a short interval the event continued with different artistic performances.
