A week ago, Júlio took his artistic experimentation to a new level. Always a purist, faithful to the deepest philosophy of street art, he decided to employ another ever-present item that “decorates” the streets of the cidade baixa: trash.
Just down the street from the ICBIE, he found a toilet seat, some cement bags, scraps of ceramic tiles, and weeds, and he sat on the street and made this intriguing work. Not intended to last (like graffiti), it nonetheless connects instantly with the community: they watch him as he transforms the ugliest part of their reality into something distinctively creative and moving.
