Courses and Workshops
Since it was founded in 2005, ICBIE has been offering foreign language courses, mainly in Italian and English, and in collaboration with and with the support of other institutions and associations, as well as through the work of Brazilian and foreign volunteers, it has been promoting vocational courses and short-term workshops with an artistic, educational and social focus. Generally, the courses are offered in exchange for a participation fee that is well below the normal market rates for this type of training, but which even so is often out of reach for part of our public.

Languages

Italian Language and Culture
ICBIE has been offering Italian language and culture courses in Salvador since 2005. Since the Leonardo da Vinci International Library is an integral part of the institute, we rely on its rich collection in Italian to promote Italian culture, covering a variety of topics: literature, cinema, theater, art, gastronomy, architecture, tourism, fashion, music, etc.

English and other european languages
The courses in English and other European languages offered at the ICBIE strengthen the institute’s aim of promoting cultural dialogue, encouraging exchange, collaboration, the integration of different arts and cultures, and developing friendship between people from different countries.
Courses and workshops
The audience for the courses is very varied, but the biggest beneficiaries are the families living on the Itapagipe Peninsula, made up mainly of salaried or informal workers who have invested little in training and young people who only a few years ago gained access to public universities thanks to quota policies and scholarships. For this community, along with students from public and private schools and teachers and educators from the public school system, the offer of language courses represents an opportunity for personal and professional growth and development, a chance to enrich their educational and curricular background.
The courses are also of interest to young and adult independent artists who are interested in cultural exchanges and artistic residencies, especially in Europe or the United States, and who have recently been encouraged to do so through the artistic mobility programs launched by the state and federal governments: knowing a foreign language gives young people who want to explore the world more confidence!
