“The Day of Black Consciousness” and the Afro-Dance group of the ICBIE
For “The Day of Black Consciousness,” which is celebrated every year on the 20th of November throughout Brazil, a dance and theater event with the suggestive title “Art of the Heart Encounter” was organized by the Plataforma Cultural Center.
The Afro-Dance Group of the ICBIE, guided by Prof. Emerson Ataide, participated in the event, presenting a typical Afro-Brazilian choreography.
Once again, their performance provoked an enthusiastic response from the big audience of kids that packed the theater, giving our group a well-earned success.
