Better Every Year: EBM III

The third edition of the EBM is over, and this year it surely had an even richer and more varied program.  Among the musical groups that played were Dom Sá, Eu Tu Ele, Estilo Livre and the chorinho trio, Varanda Brazuca, with our Marlene Rosa as a special addition.  But she wasn’t the only ICBIE team member who participated in the event, as Adriele Alexandrino, Géssica Lima and Victor Vitório, who joined with their friends Antonio Paiva Junior and Gabriel Brito, presented a special repertoire of songs.

The large audience was able to see and appreciate various activities of the Institute, such as the Afro-dance number put on by our dance class and an open rehearsal of the ICBIE Little Theater Music Company.  There was also a beautiful exposition of origami by the artist Carlos Roberto and our traditional bazaar, which this year had the distinction of offering pieces of alternative clothing.

Above all, we thank the public, because without them there wouldn’t have been a party, and then we have to express our gratitude for all the team of collaborators who made the event possible:  Fábio and Ivanildo, who built the stage, directed and operated the sound and light equipment.  Rosilene was a great salesperson in the bazaar, while professor Alex coordinated the impressive theater group and professor Emerson choreographed the dance by his students.  Last but not least, our lady Lu, who prepared the tasty treats, and the group from Navegue do Bem, who brought the project of the book exchange.

We can’t forget our staff members: Adriele and Marjorie, who were responsible for ICBIE communications and web design, along with Marcella, Marlene, Pietro and Raquel, all part of the big heart of this family called ICBIE, including our great collaborators and friends Amadeo, Daryth and Roy, who gave us needed help in the general organization of the event.

It’s important to remind everyone that for another week it is still possible to visit the bazaar and the exposition of origami.  They will remain open until Friday, November 28th.  Come and visit us!!!
