D’Artagnan Centenary Hits Three Continents on Friday

D’artagnan event

The whole ICBIE project is linked to the life and works of a Venetian orphan named Michele Lombardi, who, under the pseudonym of Ele D’Artagnan, managed to climb into the highest artistic circles while living a precarious vagrant’s life.  His exalted and tragic presence throughout Pietro Gallina’s childhood and the subsequent inheritance of the maestro’s artistic legacy provided the very foundations of the ICBIE dream.  So in this year, the centenary of his birth, Pietro has worked indefatigably to produce a fitting commemoration of such a unique and endearing artist, with a simultaneous celebration held in five different locales located on three continents.  So, whether you can make it to New York, Chicago, Amsterdam, Limburg or, best of all, Salvador, it all happens on Friday afternoon at 6:30.

In the event that you are so unfortunate as to miss this opportunity, there will be adequate relief:  video cameras are primed in all locations, and an amazing video will certainly be forthcoming!
