Library and Museum Day<\/p>\n

On Sunday, December 5th, we dedicated the programming of our Festival to the Library and the MEPE museum that recounts the history of the Itapagipe peninsula. We began with a debate regarding the negative and positive aspects of the internet on our knowledge, and discordant opinions emerged: for older people, the net represents an immense facility in the search for news, music, archives, etc whereas for younger people, instead, and surprisingly, web surfing certainly represents an advantage, but is also an impediment to socialization and a threat to the enormous well of culture still to be found in books.<\/p>\n

We continued with a selection of international poetry, curated by Meg Boaventura, that witnessed the special participation of the saxophonist Jan Rzewski and our mentors Roy Zimmerman and Pietro Gallina.<\/p>\n

The evening concluded with the unveiling of a ‘book nest’ set on the wall outside the entrance to our Institute: a little wooden container built by Ivannildo Viana and decorated by G\u00e9ssic Lima, dedicated to the free and anonymous exchange of books, and with the awarding of a Leonardo Prize to the politician Domingos Leonelli, who has contribuited to the archives of our library through several donations of books.<\/p>\n

Domingo, 5 de dezembro, dedicamos a programa\u00e7\u00e3o do nosso Festival \u00e0 Biblioteca e ao MEPE, que relata a historia da Pen\u00ednsula de Itapagipe. Come\u00e7amos com uma mesa redonda sobre os aspectos positivos e negativos da internet em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao conhecimento e tivemos opini\u00f5es diferentes: para os adultos a rede representa uma grande ajuda para a pesquisa de noticias, musicas, arquivos etc.; para as pessoas mais novas, ao contrario, navegar representa uma vantagem mas tamb\u00e9m um limite para a socializa\u00e7\u00e3o e para o acesso aos livros, ainda considerados uma grande fonte de cultura.<\/p>\n

Prosseguimos com um recital de poesias internacionais, com a curadoria de Meg Boaventura, e a participa\u00e7\u00e3o do saxofonista Jan Rzewski e dos nossos mentores Roy Zimmerman e Pietro Gallina. A noite se concluiu com a inaugura\u00e7\u00e3o na entrada do ICBIE do \u201cNinho de livros\u201d, uma pequena casinha de madeira constru\u00edda e decorada por Ivanildo Viana com a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de Gessica Lima, dedicada \u00e0 troca gratuita e an\u00f4nima de livros, uma esp\u00e9cie de \u201cbook-crossing\u201d.<\/p>\n

Enfim tivemos a entrega do Pr\u00eamio Leonardo para o pol\u00edtico Domingos Leonelli que colaborou, atrav\u00e9s de doa\u00e7\u00f5es de livros, ao nosso acervo bibliogr\u00e1fico.<\/p>\n

Domenica 5 dicembre abbiamo dedicato la programmazione del nostro Festival\u00a0 alla biblioteca e al museo MEPE, che racconta la storia della penisola di Itapagipe.
\nAbbiamo esordito con un dibattito riguardante aspetti negativi e positivi di internet per la conoscenza e ne sono emersi pareri discordanti: per le persone pi\u00f9 adulte la rete rappresenta un’immensa facilitazione per la ricerca di notizie, musica, archivi ecc; per le persone pi\u00f9 giovani, al contrario e sorprendentemente, navigare rappresenta s\u00ec un vantaggio, ma anche una limitazione alla socializzazione e alla sterminata fonte di cultura che sono tuttora i libri.<\/p>\n

Abbiamo proseguito con una selezione di poesie internazionali, curata da Meg Boaventura, che ha visto la straordinaria partecipazione del sassofonista Jan Rzewski e i nostri mentori Roy Zimmerman e Pietro Gallina.<\/p>\n

La serata si \u00e8 conclusa con l’inaugurazione presso la parete esterna del nostro istituto del “nido di libri”: un piccolo contenitore di legno realizzato da Ivanildo Viana e decorato da Gessica Lima, dedicato allo scambio gratuito e anonimo di libri una sorta di “book-crossing”e con la consegna del premio Leonardo al politico Domingos Leonelli che ha collaborato al nostro archivio bibliografico attraverso alcune donazioni di libri.<\/p>\n
