For a team working in a cultural institute, there can also be an odd moment of collective relaxation, such as watching a film. An example of this occurred at the beginning of this month, when a group of people working for the ICBIE had the opportunity to see three recent Italian films: Il Paese Dove gli Alberi Volano<\/em> (The Country Where the Trees Fly), by Davide Barletti and Jacopo Quadri, Per amor vostro<\/em> (For Your Love) by Giuseppe Gaudino and N-Capace<\/em> by Eleonora Danco. The showings took place within the eleventh edition of “Coisa de Cinema – Panorama Internacional”, a festival that that was held downtown, in the theater Spazio Itau – Glauber Rocha, in Salvador, from the end of October to the beginning of November 2015.<\/p>\n

All of us expressed particular interest and appreciation for Il Paese Dove gli Alberi Volano<\/em>, especially because of certain parallels to what the ICBIE attempts to realize. Taking place in the small Danish town of Holstebro, the film builds upon the 50th anniversary of the Odin Teatret, to present in a heartfelt and winning manner, the unique example that has made this multicultural theater company so important to the history of theater during the last century.\u00a0 The film also pleased us because of its lack of eulogistic banter regarding the figure of Eugenio Barba, the founder and mentor from Puglia, and for its ability to highlight an aspect of the Odin Teatret that is not of secondary importance, and namely, its being a community of people – coming from every part of the world – that share not only a specific theatrical conception, but even more, an idea of communitarian life. Before the projection of Per amor vostro<\/em> (whose protagonist, Valeria Golino, won the prize for best actress at the Venice Film Festival 2015), on the terrace of the G. Rocha, there was a performance of young Bahian dancers who had been chosen by Barba to participate in the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary (as depicted in the film). As darkness fell, their exhibition was even more suggestive, and their dances were warmly appreciated by the public.N-capace<\/em>, by Eleonora Danco, is a film documentary where the director interprets a tormented soul who wanders around in pajamas and with her bed between the cities of Rome and Terracina, asking existential questions to young and old.<\/p>\n

Um exemplo disto ocorreu no in\u00edcio deste m\u00eas, quando um grupo de pessoas comprometidas com o ICBIE teve a oportunidade de assistir tr\u00eas filmes italianos: Il Paese Dove gli Alberi Volano<\/em> de Davide Barletti e Jacopo Quadri, Per amor vostro<\/em> de Giuseppe Gaudino e N-Capace<\/em> de Eleonora Danco. A exibi\u00e7\u00e3o teve lugar na XI edi\u00e7\u00e3o de “Coisa de Cinema – Panorama Internacional”, evento realizado no Espa\u00e7o Itau – Glauber Rocha, entre o final de outubro e o in\u00edcio de novembro 2015.<\/p>\n

Grande interesse e consentimento despertou por todos n\u00f3s Il Paese Dove gli Alberi Volano<\/em>, tamb\u00e9m por causa de certas semelhan\u00e7as com quanto a gente se esfor\u00e7a de fazer no ICBIE. Feito na cidadezinha dinamarquesa de Holstebro, o filme \u00e9 inspirado no 50\u00ba anivers\u00e1rio do Odin Teatret para apresentar, de forma participativa e emocionante, aquele exemplo irrepet\u00edvel de companhia teatral multicultural, que teve grande impacto na hist\u00f3ria do teatro do s\u00e9culo passado. N\u00f3s gostamos do filme tamb\u00e9m por a maneira, livre de tons elogiosos, pela qual emerge a figura de Eugenio Barba – italiano da Puglia, fundador e mentor do grupo teatral – e para a capacidade de trazer para fora algo de n\u00e3o secund\u00e1rio na experi\u00eancia do Odin Teatret: o seu ser um comunidade de pessoas – de todo o mundo – que compartilham n\u00e3o apenas uma ideia de teatro, mas tamb\u00e9m uma ideia de vida em comum. Antes de Per amor vostro<\/em> (cujo protagonista, Valeria Golino, ganhou o pr\u00eamio de melhor atriz no Festival de Cinema de Veneza em 2015), no terra\u00e7o do Cinema G. Rocha, houve uma apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o de jovens bailarinos baianos selecionados por Barba para participar do espetaculo do quinquag\u00e9simo anivers\u00e1rio (e, em consequencia, presentes no filme). Tamb\u00e9m gra\u00e7as ao escuro, que fez o cen\u00e1rio sugestivo, as dan\u00e7as foram particularmente apreciadas pelo p\u00fablico.<\/p>\n

No dia seguente foi a vez di assistir o filme N-capace<\/em>, de Eleonora Danco, onde uma alma tormentada \u00a0vaga entre as cidades italianas de Roma e Terracina, acompanhada pela sua cama e vestindo pijamas, falando com idosos e adolescentes.<\/p>\n

Un esempio di ci\u00f2 si \u00e8 avuto all’inizio di questo mese, quando un gruppo di persone impegnate per l’ICBIE ha avuto l’opportunit\u00e0 di assistere a tre recenti film italiani: Il Paese Dove gli Alberi Volano<\/em>, di Davide Barletti e Jacopo Quadri, Per amor vostro<\/em> di Giuseppe Gaudino e N-Capace<\/em> di Eleonora Danco. La proiezione \u00e8 avvenuta nell’ambito della XI edizione di “Coisa de Cinema – Panorama Internacional”, manifestazione svoltasi nella centralissima sala Spazio Itau – Glauber Rocha, di Salvador, tra la fine di ottobre e gli inizi di novembre 2015.<\/p>\n

Grande interesse e apprezzamento ha destato in tutti noi Il Paese Dove gli Alberi Volano<\/em>, anche per certe somiglianze con quanto ci si sforza di realizzare all’ICBIE. Realizzato nella localit\u00e0 danese di Holstebro, il film prende spunto dal 50\u00b0 anniversario dell’Odin Teatret per presentare, in modo partecipe e avvincente, quell’irripetibile esempio di compagnia teatrale multiculturale che tanto ha inciso nella storia del teatro del secolo scorso. Il film \u00e8 piaciuto anche per l’assenza di toni encomiastici con cui emerge la figura del pugliese Eugenio Barba, fondatore e mentore del gruppo teatrale, e per la capacit\u00e0 di far risaltare un dato non secondario nell’esperienza dell’Odin Teatret, cio\u00e8 il suo essere una comunit\u00e0 di persone – provenienti da ogni parte del mondo – che condividono non solo un’idea di teatro, ma altres\u00ec un’idea di vita comunitaria. Prima della proiezione di Per amor vostro<\/em> (la cui protagonista, Valeria Golino, ha vinto il premio come miglior attrice al Festival del Cinema di Venezia 2015), nella terrazza del Cinema G. Rocha c’\u00e8 stata un’esibizione di giovani ballerini baiani selezionati da Barba per partecipare allo spettacolo del cinquantenario (e, quindi, presenti nel film). Anche grazie al buio, che ha reso suggestivo lo scenario, le danze sono state particolarmente apprezzate dal pubblico.<\/p>\n

Successivamente \u00e8 stata la volta di N-capace<\/em>, di Eleonora Danco, un docu-film dove la regista interpreta un’anima tormentata che vaga in pigiama e con il suo letto tra le citt\u00e0 di Roma e Terracina ponendo interrogativi esistenziali a giovani e vecchi.<\/p>\n
