As many of you already know, this year we will commemorate the tenth anniversary of the ICBIE’s foundation in Salvador. For that reason, the Institute is organizing three weeks of events, workshops, seminars, expositions and various exhibitions to remember the rich history of these ten years of activity.<\/p>\n
It will begin on the 28th of November with the opening of an exhibition of photographs regarding the history of the ICBIE, and also the annual EBM \u2014Exposition, Bazaar and Music, that this year marks its fourth edition.<\/p>\n
Here is a provisional program; the names of the people invited and details for every even will be forthcoming in a short time!<\/p>\n
– Saturday, 28. November: Opening of the photographic exposition tracing the history of the Institute, and the EBM.<\/p>\n
– Sunday, 29. November: World Climate Day: a parade through the streets of Ribeira; projection of a documentary on that theme; roundtable discussion.<\/p>\n
– From 30. November to 3. December: open spaces for graffiti and a recycling workshop.<\/p>\n
– Friday, 4. December: Day of Images: Cinema and Photography, with the participation of Italian and Brazilian photographer friends. Film documentary: The Salt of the Earth \u2014 History of Sebasti\u00e3o Salgado, by Wim Wenders. Dibate and round table discussion.<\/p>\n
– Saturday 5. December: Day of Music, Poetry and Literature.<\/p>\n
– Sunday, 6. December: Day of the Library and the Museum: guide tours of the Library and the Memories of the Peninsula Museum. Roundtable discussion: Internet, positive and negative aspects of its use. Projection of a film on the theme of reading.<\/p>\n
– Monday, 7. December: Open space for graffiti, workshop of theater and dance, open lesson of capoeira.<\/p>\n
– Tuesday, 8. December: Day of culinari arts.<\/p>\n
– Wednesday, 9. December: Open space for graffiti, workshop of theater and dance, open lesson of capoeira.<\/p>\n
– Thursday, 10. December: Day of Languages: exhibition (readings, music, etc.) of the present students of Italian and English; promotion of the courses with ex-students who have learned foreign languages at the ICBIE.<\/p>\n
– Friday, 11. December: Day of Street Art, Graffiti and Plastic Arts.<\/p>\n
– Saturday, 12. December: Wine Party and the Italian community in Salvador.<\/p>\n
– Sunday, 13. December: Day of Fashion, Theater and Dance: fashion show, dance exhibition, performance by the Little Theater and Music Company of the ICBIE: Navio Negreiro, by Castro Alves.<\/p>\n
– From 14. to 17. December: workshops and open classes of capoeira.<\/p>\n
– Friday, 18. December: Day of the ICBIE’s National and International partners.<\/p>\n
– Saturday, 19. December: Day of the Leonardo Prize.<\/p>\n
