Changing the Future: The LeiturArte Project Presents a Book Written by a Young Lady from the Itapagipe Peninsula<\/strong><\/p>\n

Twenty-two year-old Marjorie dos Anjos, working in Publicity, wrote her first book when she was sixteen, and she self-published it. Now LeiturArte gives her the opportunity to present the second edition of her book, When the Last Leaf Falls<\/em>.<\/p>\n

By now, everyone knows that LeiturArte is a project that aims to be an incentive to reading, and to further this purpose the ICBIE was chosen by the Arte em Toda Parte Anno II, which is an initiative of the City of Salvador, via the Gregorio De Matos Foundation.\u00a0 As part of this objective, one of the events planned by our Institute is the presentation of a book written by a local author.<\/p>\n

This will represent a change in the future of this young lady, who, from childhood, showed an affinity for the written word.\u00a0 Marjorie began to write the book When the Last Leaf Falls<\/em> when she was sixteen, but she had already meditated upon the idea for three years before that. Now, after finishing her studies as a Publicist, the writer raises an opportune reflection on the theme of water scarcity in this second edition of the book.<\/p>\n

The formal presentation will be at the ICBIE on Saturday, May 9th. The ceremony, open to the public, will have many attractions: the traditional moment when the author autographs her book, but also music and theater.\u00a0 The author promises that three copies of the book will be given as prizes, drawn for those present at the event. Synopsis <\/b><\/p>\n

Water shortages were the reason that started and finished World War Three.\u00a0 Nuclear and atomic bombs were not left unused; cities were abandoned by their residents; many languages became extinct. The places that were not touched by the war were destroyed by extreme weather conditions.\u00a0 Rafiki, a seventeen-year-old boy, was born in Africa shortly after the war ended.\u00a0 He did not see the families destroyed by the radioactivity of the bombs and never trod on the ground covered with cadavers.\u00a0 In short, he was born during one of the best years of the epoch. A nomad expecting nothing from life, Rafiki, since the time of his mother’s death, wanders in the company of Dhoruba, a spastic dog who generally irritates others. In one of the refuges where Rafiki passes the night, he meets Daraja, one of the few humans who can still dream. Without intending to convince him, Daraja nonetheless gives Rafiki hopes, and he ends up dreaming impossible dreams. The boy who had spent his seventeen years thinking only of death suddenly sends his dreams across the Atlantic Ocean.<\/p>\n

Many people are really afraid of this question, but I know perfectly well how to respond to ‘Who am I?’<\/p>\n

OK…I believe the answer to this question has to begin with my maternal grandfather.\u00a0 The first person who awoke in me a taste for words, regardless of the form in which they were used.\u00a0 In verse, in prose, maybe in music, too. My grandfather spoke really well, wrote great texts and encouraged me to do the same. A story here, a little story there. I began writing stories during my early childhood, and this was not always a positive thing, because someone who has a fertile imagination and always produces many ideas can be considered by others as scatterbrained. And for a long time I was the “butterfly head”\u00a0(head in the clouds), but only until 2010, when I published my first book at the age of eighteen, on a story that I had created at thirteen.\u00a0 Now, for the first time, I was taken seriously and I liked the feeling. I went to school and they appreciated my writing. At that time, in the eyes of people my image began to change and no longer was I a “butterfly head” but a “brilliant mind.”\u00a0 I haven’t changed, I’m the same person; it is the point of view of other people that has changed.. Today, I do publicity, I’m a poet and writer.\u00a0 I still haven’t gone far and I’m not close to where I want to arrive. By my calculations, I need more than ten more books, books that are all waiting in line, and a few projects that for now are only on paper.\u00a0 For now, it is only this, but in a little while I will add other chapters to my life history.<\/p>\n

Uma mudan\u00e7a no futuro da jovem, que desde crian\u00e7a demonstrava sua afinidade com cria\u00e7\u00f5es e texto. Marjorie come\u00e7ou a escrever o livro \u201cQuando a Ultima Folha Seca Cair\u201d aos 16 anos, por\u00e9m tr\u00eas anos antes j\u00e1 ensaiava algumas id\u00e9ias sobre ele. Agora, graduada em publicidade, a escritora, que antes era infanto-juvenil, em momento bastante oportuno, traz \u00e0 reflex\u00e3o o tema da falta de \u00e1gua em sua 2\u00aa edi\u00e7\u00e3o do livro.<\/p>\n

A escassez de \u00e1gua foi o motivo do in\u00edcio e do fim da Terceira Guerra Mundial. Bombas nucleares e at\u00f4micas n\u00e3o foram economizadas, cidades viraram desertos, muitos idiomas se extinguiram. Os locais que n\u00e3o foram atingidos pela guerra, foram destru\u00eddos por fen\u00f4menos meteorol\u00f3gicos.<\/p>\n

Rafiki, um rapaz de dezessete anos, nascera na \u00c1frica poucos anos depois do final da Terceira Guerra. N\u00e3o vira as fam\u00edlias desgra\u00e7adas pela radioatividade de uma bomba, nunca pisou em um solo encoberto por\u00a0cad\u00e1veres retalhados, enfim, ele nascera em um dos melhores anos da \u00e9poca.<\/p>\n

N\u00f4made e sem perspectiva de vida nenhuma, Rafiki, desde a morte de sua m\u00e3e, vaga acompanhado por Dhoruba, um c\u00e3o convulso que costuma irritar os outros.<\/p>\n

Em um dos abrigos em que Rafiki passa a noite, conhece Daraja, um dos poucos homens que sonham. Sem inten\u00e7\u00e3o de lhe convencer, Daraja p\u00f5e uma esperan\u00e7a em Rafiki, que acaba almejando o imposs\u00edvel.<\/p>\n

O rapaz que passou seus dezessete anos de vida apenas esperando a morte, agora deposita seus sonhos do outro lado do Atl\u00e2ntico.<\/p>\n

Muitas pessoas t\u00eam verdadeiro pavor dessa pergunta, mas eu sei respond\u00ea-la perfeitamente.<\/p>\n

Quem sou eu?<\/p>\n

Bem\u2026 Acho que a resposta dessa pergunta tem que come\u00e7ar l\u00e1 no meu av\u00f4 materno. A primeira pessoa que criou em mim o gosto pelas letras, sejam elas de que forma estiverem. Em verso, em prosa, se botar uma melodia ent\u00e3o\u2026<\/p>\n

O meu av\u00f4 falava muito bem, escrevia \u00f3timos textos e me incentivava a fazer o mesmo. E eu, que acreditava que ele era o homem mais inteligente do mundo, me espelhava nele. Um conto aqui, uma historinha ali. Comecei ainda na inf\u00e2ncia a escrever hist\u00f3rias.<\/p>\n

Nem sempre isso foi bom, a pessoa que tem uma mente que trabalha o tempo todo tendo ideias, pode passar pelos outros como uma pessoa distra\u00edda. E, durante muito tempo, fui a “cabecinha de borboleta”, mas s\u00f3 at\u00e9 2010, quando pude publicar o meu primeiro livro aos 18 anos, uma hist\u00f3ria que j\u00e1 tinha sido criada aos treze. A\u00ed, pela primeira vez, me levaram a s\u00e9rio, e eu gostei disso. Entrei na faculdade e me destaquei pelos meus textos.<\/p>\n

Durante todo esse per\u00edodo, a minha imagem foi mudando perante as pessoas, fui deixando de ser conhecida como a “cabecinha de borboleta” para ser a “mente brilhante”. Eu n\u00e3o mudei, sempre fui a mesma pessoa, o ponto de vista dos outros sobre mim \u00e9 que mudou. Hoje, sou publicit\u00e1ria, poetiza e escritora. Ainda n\u00e3o fui longe e nem estou perto de chegar aonde pretendo. Segundo os meus c\u00e1lculos, ainda faltam mais uns 10 livros que j\u00e1 est\u00e3o na fila, e mais alguns projetos que por enquanto s\u00f3 est\u00e3o no papel.<\/p>\n

Un cambiamento nel futuro della ragazza, che fin da bambina dimostrava la sua affinit\u00e1 con i testi scritti. Marjorie cominci\u00f3 a scrivere il libro \u201cQuando l\u00b4ultima foglia cadr\u00e1\u201d a 16 anni, ma gi\u00e1 3 anni prima meditava le prime idee sul libro. Adesso, formata in pubblicit\u00e1, la scrittrice, solleva in un momento opportuno la riflessione sul tema della mancanza di acqua nella sua 2\u00aa edizione del libro.<\/p>\n

L\u00b4evento di presentazione sar\u00e1 sabato, 9 maggio, nella sede dell\u00b4ICBIE. La cerimonia, aperta al pubblico, avr\u00e1 molte attrazioni: il tradizionale momento degli autografi della autrice, oltre che musica e teatro. L\u00b4autrice promette che saranno sorteggiati anche 3 esemplari del libro tra i presenti alla festa. La scarsit\u00e1 di acqua \u00e9 stato il motivo dell\u00b4inizio e della fine della Terza Guerra Mondiale. Bombe nucleari e atomiche non sono state risparmiate, citt\u00e1 sono diventate deserti, molte lingue si sono estinte. I luoghi che non sono stati raggiunti dalla guerra, sono stati distrutti per fenomeni meteorologici.\u00a0Rafiki, un ragazzo di diciassette anni, nacque in Africa pochi anni dopo la fine della Terza Guerra. Non ha visto le famiglie distrutte dalla radioattivit\u00e1 di una bomba, non ha mai calpestato un terreno ricoperto di cadaveri, insomma, lui \u00e9 nato in uno dei migliori anni dell\u00b4epoca.\u00a0Nomade e senza nessuna aspettativa di vita, Rafiki, fin dalla morte della madre, vaga accompagnato da Dhoruba, un cane convulsivo che solitamente irrita gli altri.\u00a0In uno dei rifugi dove Rafiki trascorre la notte, conosce Daraja, uno dei pochi uomini che sognano. Senza intenzione di convincerlo, Daraja d\u00e1 una speranza a Rafiki, che finisce con il bramare l\u00b4impossibile. Il ragazzo che aveva trascorso i suoi diciassette anni di vita solamente aspettando la morte, adesso affida i suoi sogni all\u00b4altro lato dell\u00b4Atlantico.<\/p>\n

Molte persone hanno davvero paura di questa domanda, ma io so rispondere perfettamente. Chi sono io?<\/p>\n

Bene…..credo che la risposta a questa domanda deve cominciare li in mio nonno materno. La prima persona che ha svegliato in me il gusto per le lettere, in qualsiasi forma esse fossero rappresentate. In versi, in prosa, se in musica allora…….\u00a0Mio nonno parlava molto bene, scriveva ottimi testi e mi incentivava a fare lo stesso. E io, che credevo che lui fosse l\u00b4uomo pi\u00fa intelligente del mondo, mi rispecchiavo in lui. Un racconto qui, una storiella li. Cominciai gi\u00e1 durante l\u00b4infanzia a scrivere storie.\u00a0Non sempre questo \u00e9 stato positivo, la persona che ha una mente fertile e produce sempre molte idee, pu\u00f3 essere considerata dagli altri come una persona distratta. E per molto tempo, io sono stata \u201cla testolina di farfalla\u201d (testa fra le nuvole \u2013 nda), ma solo fino al 2010 quando potetti pubblicare il mio primo libro a 18 anni, una storia che gi\u00e1 avevo creato a 13. Allora, per la prima volta mi presero seriamente e a me piacque. Entrai nella facolt\u00e1 e mi apprezzarono per i miei testi.\u00a0Durante questo periodo, la mia immagine cominci\u00f3 a cambiare agli occhi delle persone, smisi di essere conosciuta come la \u201ctestolina di farfalla\u201d per diventare la \u201cmente brillante\u201d. Io non sono cambiata, sono sempre la stessa persona, \u00e9 il punto di vista delle altre persone che \u00e9 cambiato. \u00a0Oggi sono publicitaria, poetessa e scrittrice. Ancora non sono arrivata lontana e n\u00e9 sono vicina ad arrivare dove voglio arrivare. Secondo i miei calcoli, ancora mancano pi\u00fa di 10 libri che sono gi\u00e1 in fila, e alcuni progetti che per adesso sono solo su carta.\u00a0Per adesso \u00e9 solo questo, in breve aggiungo qualche altro capitolo alla mia storia.<\/p>\n
