Another big effort, for the first Encounter of ITALIANS IN BAHIA at the ICBIE, which took place on the evening of Monday, the 18th of March, with with beautiful weather of summer’s end, and it was a success. \u00a0About fifty people, almost all of them new acquaintances, Italian workers and owners of tourist agencies, hotels, restaurants, construction firms and investors. \u00a0 At the ICBIE, we are used to work for the community of poor Brazilians around Ribeira, so we were not used to this kind of people. \u00a0All the same, I found that this Italian community can be very useful to the social goals of the ICBIE. \u00a0After my introduction, Emma Pellegrini, administrator of Italian affairs in Salvador, and Pierluigi Guerini, one of the the proprietors of the Grand Hotel Cocoon, spoke in favor of consolidating this group. \u00a0We also took in a tidy sum, for the food we sold, and for a day we were transformed into a real restaurant, complete with a menu!<\/p>\n

Jantar de Pietro para os italianos na Bahia<\/strong><\/p>\n

Outro grande esfor\u00e7o, o da Primeira reuni\u00e3o dos Italianos na Bahia ao ICBIE, ocorreu na segunda-feira 18 de mar\u00e7o, numa doce noite do fim do ver\u00e3o e foi um sucesso. Cerca de 50 pessoas quase todas novas, funcion\u00e1rios e empres\u00e1rios de ag\u00eancias de turismo, hot\u00e9is, restaurantes, constru\u00e7\u00f5es e investidores italianos. Nos do ICBIE que geralmente trabalhamos para a comunidade de brasileiros pobres da Ribeira, n\u00e3o est\u00e1vamos habituados a este tipo de gente. Contudo, acho que essa comunidade italiana poder\u00e1 ser muito \u00fatil para os fins sociais do ICBIE. Falaram para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o deste grupo – depois da minha introdu\u00e7\u00e3o para dar boas-vindas e parab\u00e9nizar – Emma Pellegrini, diretora de neg\u00f3cios italianos em Salvador, e Pierluigi Guerini, um dos donos do Grand Hotel Cocoon. Tamb\u00e9m conseguimos bom lucro por os alimentos vendidos e, por um momento, nos tornamos um verdadeiro restaurante com seu pr\u00f3prio cardapio!<\/p>\n

Un\u2019altra grande fatica, quella del Primo incontro degli ITALIANI A BAHIA all’ICBIE ha avuto luogo la sera di luned\u00ec 18 marzo, in un dolcissima serata di fine estate ed \u00e8 stato un successo. Circa 50 persone quasi tutte nuove, lavoratori e imprenditori di agenzie turistiche, hotel, ristoranti, costruzioni e investitori italiani . Noi dell\u2019ICBIE che in genere lavoriamo per la comunit\u00e0 di brasiliani poveri di Ribeira, non eravamo abituati a questo tipo di gente. Tuttavia trovo che tale comunit\u00e0 italiana potr\u00e0 essere molto utile ai fini sociali dell\u2019ICBIE. Hanno parlato per la costituzione di questo gruppo dopo la mia introduzione di benvenuto e felicitazioni, Emma Pellegrini, amministratrice di affari italiani a Salvador, e Pierluigi Guerini, uno dei proprietari del Grand Hotel Cocoon. Si \u00e8 anche fatto un buon incasso per il cibo venduto e per un attimo ci siamo trasformati in un vero e proprio ristorante con tanto di men\u00f9!<\/p>\n
