To close off the ICBIE Cineforum for the year 2011 and to get our community into a holiday spirit, what could be better than <\/em>The Sound of Music?\u00a0 Because of the film’s extended duration, it will be shown in two parts, on December 2 (tomorrow) and 9 (next Friday).\u00a0 By the way, this Rodgers & Hammerstein masterpiece arguably takes the cake for the most bizarre translations of its title, from the Italian <\/em>Tutti insieme appassionatamente (“All together passionately”)<\/em> to the Portuguese <\/em>A Novi\u00e7a Rebelde (“The Rebel Nun”). Can you imagine either of those titles becoming a Broadway blockbuster?\u00a0\u00a0But then again, <\/em>Il suono della musica would be an even worse flop.<\/em><\/p>\n

Um pouco sobre o filme…<\/p>\n

No final da d\u00e9cada de 30, na \u00c1ustria, quando o pesadelo nazista estava prestes a se instaurar no pa\u00eds, uma novi\u00e7a (Julie Andrews) que vive em um convento mas n\u00e3o consegue seguir as r\u00edgidas normas de conduta das religiosas, vai trabalhar como governanta na casa do capit\u00e3o Von Trapp (Christopher Plummer), que tem sete filhos, \u00e9 vi\u00favo e os educa como se fizessem parte de um regimento. Sua chegada modifica drasticamente o padr\u00e3o da fam\u00edlia, trazendo alegria novamente ao lar da fam\u00edlia Von Trapp e conquistando o carinho e o respeito das crian\u00e7as. Mas ela termina se apaixonando pelo capit\u00e3o, que est\u00e1 comprometido com uma rica baronesa.<\/p>\n
