Thanks to the donation that our great Monica Bernardi collected during the baptism of Diego\u2014her son and also the ICBIE mascot\u2014, we were able to give a little bit of economic help to the Banda Palafitas (Stilt-House Band) of Mestre Caica.<\/p>\n

The band is made up of little kids who live in the economically-challenged Massaranduba district, which is not far from the ICBIE in Ribeira.\u00a0 The group doesn’t have a place to meet, so their natural place is in the street, where the various components of the band get percussion lessons from Mestre Caica, and where they are always happy to play, at every opportunity.\u00a0 Mestre Caica, despite his constant economic troubles, nonetheless manages to do his best, teaching the kids to love music while keeping them away from the many “bad temptations” that the the area where they live is famous for.<\/p>\n

The entire Stilt-House Band and in particular Mestre Caica send their heartfelt gratitude and an energetic groove of Brazilian batucada to MONICA and DIEGO!!!!<\/p>\n

Gra\u00e7as \u00e0 doa\u00e7\u00e3o que a nossa grande Monica Bernardi reuniu na ocasi\u00e3o do batismo de Diego – seu filho e mascote do ICBIE- conseguimos dar uma pequena ajuda econ\u00f3mica a Banda Palafitas do Mestre Caica.<\/p>\n

A banda \u00e9 formada por crian\u00e7as que vivem em Massaranduba, bairro com favelas que fica n\u00e3o longe do ICBIE, na Ribeira. A banda n\u00e3o tem lugar para tocar, mas o seu lugar \u00e9 a rua onde os meninos recebem aulas de percuss\u00e3o por Mestre Caica e onde eles se apresentaram voluntariamente e em cada boa ocasi\u00e3o. Mestre Caica, apesar das dificuldades econ\u00f4micas constantes, consegue fazer um otimo trabalho, ensinando o amor pela m\u00fasica e oferecendo para as crian\u00e7as uma boa oportunidade para ficar longe das \u201cm\u00e1s tenta\u00e7\u00f5es \u201c que o lugar onde vivem tem.<\/p>\n

Toda a banda Palafitas e, principalmente Mestre Caica agrade\u00e7em muito, enviando um forte toque
\nde batucada brasileira para MONICA e DIEGO !<\/p>\n

SOSTEGNO ALLA BANDA PALAFITAS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grazie alla donazione che la nostra grande Monica Bernardi ha raccolto in occasione del Battesimo di Diego – suo figlio nonch\u00e9 mascotte ICBIE – siamo riusciti a dare un piccolo aiuto economico alla Banda Palafitas di Mestre Caica.<\/p>\n

La Banda \u00e9 composta da ragazzini che vivono nel quartiere di Massaranduba, quartiere favelato a poca distanza dall\u00b4ICBIE a Ribeira.Il gruppo non ha una sede ma il loro luogo \u00e9 la strada dove i componenti della banda prendono lezioni di percussioni da Mestre Caica e dove si esibiscono ben volentieri ed in ogni occasione buona. Mestre Caica pur nelle costanti difficolt\u00e1 economiche riesce a fare un ottimo lavoro insegnando ai ragazzini l\u00b4amore per la musica e dando loro una buona occasione per stare lontani dalle “cattive tentazioni” di cui \u00e9 ricco il luogo dove vivono.<\/p>\n

Tutta la Banda Palafitas ed in particolare Mestre Caica mandano, per tanto, un sentito ringraziamento ed un energico tocco di batucada brasiliana a MONICA e DIEGO!!!!<\/p>\n
