Pintar de ouro os tocos de \u00e1rvores. \u00c9 desta forma que o artista pl\u00e1stico e cineasta Henrique Dantas, pretende chamar aten\u00e7\u00e3o da popula\u00e7\u00e3o para o seu projeto intervencionista \u201cToco de Midas\u201d, protestando contra a derrubada de \u00e1rvores centen\u00e1rias em Salvador e outras capitais do pa\u00eds. Al\u00e9m disso, ser\u00e1 afixada uma l\u00e1pide de m\u00e1rmore na parte superior do toco com a seguinte mensagem: Aqui jaz uma Sucupira, ou Jequitib\u00e1, ou uma Arueira.<\/p>\n

Est\u00e1 previsto tamb\u00e9m interven\u00e7\u00f5es na Alemanha. Conforme explicou Dantas,\u00a0a sua id\u00e9ia \u00e9 aproveitar a oportunidade da divulga\u00e7\u00e3o do filme de sua autoria em tr\u00eas cidades alem\u00e3s, para manifestar a sua preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com a derrubada de \u00e1rvores. \u201cIsso \u00e9 uma forma de desmatamento. An Artist’s Protest Against the Destruction of Trees<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gold paint on tree trunks.\u00a0 This is the way that the plastic artist and filmmaker Henrique Dantas hopes to attract people’s attention with his interventionist project called “The Midas Touch,” protesting against the destruction of hundred-year-old trees in Salvador and other major cities.\u00a0 Beyond that, a marble marker will be placed on the top of the trunks, with the following message: Here lies a Sucupira, or a Jequitib\u00e1, or an Arueira:<\/p>\n

He plans to take this approach to Germany.\u00a0 As Dantas explains, his idea is to make the most of the opportunity, to promote the film he made in three German cities, always to demonstrate his outrage against the destruction of trees. “This is a kind of deforestation.\u00a0 The shade is disappearing,” he exclaimed.<\/p>\n
