{"id":8830,"date":"2018-04-29T02:16:55","date_gmt":"2018-04-29T00:16:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/?p=8830"},"modified":"2021-07-07T19:49:21","modified_gmt":"2021-07-07T19:49:21","slug":"cinema-classics-of-bahia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icbie.net.br\/en\/cinema-classics-of-bahia\/","title":{"rendered":"CINEMA AND CLASSICS OF BAHIA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>CINEMA AND CLASSICS OF BAHIA &#8211; 2nd CYCLE OF EVENTS OF THE 2nd YEAR OF THE ICBIE PROJECT &#8211; CULTURE POINT OF RIBEIRA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the last couple years, our Institute has functioned as the \u2019Culture Point of Ribeira\u2019 (an official recognition of the Government of the State of Bahia), with quarterly cycles of events. Now, the Institute of Culture Brazil, Italy, Europe (ICBIE) has proposed another one, this time centered upon the theme, \u2018Cinema and Classics of Bahia.\u2019 The events offered many emotions, with musical exhibitions, theatrical performances, dances, and exhibitions at the Me.Pe. &#8211; Memories of the Peninsula museum (located in the institute that portrays, by means of photographic and journalistic records, the life of the itapagipano of decades ago), together with the projections of films, all with free admission.<\/p>\n<p>The first event began on April 6th &#8220;History, Memory and Photography Day&#8221; with exhibitions and a wonderful history lesson with Professor Milton Moura (UFBA), and the screening of the film &#8220;Bahia de Todos os Santos&#8221; (1960), directed by Trigueirinho Neto.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image7.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8837\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8837\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image7.jpg\" alt=\"image7\" width=\"1999\" height=\"1500\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image13.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8843\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8843\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image13.jpg\" alt=\"image13\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image4.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8834\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8834\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image4.jpg\" alt=\"image4\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the 7th came the \u201cDay of the Cinema,\u201d dedicated to the director Glauber Rocha, a classic of Bahian cinema, with the film Barravento, directed by Glauber Rocha.<br \/>\nSunday the 8th, was \u201cSport Day: Rowing and Capoeira.\u201d During the morning, a competition with the clubs and athletes of the Bahian Rowing Championship 2018 took place in the bay in front of the Institute.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image6.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8836\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8836\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image6.jpg\" alt=\"image6\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image10.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8840\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8840\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image10.jpg\" alt=\"image10\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At 5 pm, the documentary \u201cJogo de Corpo &#8211; Capoeira and Ancestrality\u201d of the Master of Capoeira Cobra Mansa was presented, followed by capoeira with the Unicar Cidade Baixa group (ICBIE partner group).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image8.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8838\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-8838\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image8.jpg\" alt=\"image8\" width=\"960\" height=\"720\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The following week, on the 12th, the events continued with the \u201cDay of Plastic Arts\u201d with Pietro Gallina (artistic director of the ICBIE) presenting the collection of the Leonardo da Vinci Library about the classics of international plastic art, in comparison with Bahia, with a focus in the Italian sculptor Pasquale de Chirico, who executed many important public sculptures in Salvador.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_8845\" style=\"width: 517px\"  class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image15.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8845\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-8845\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image15.jpg\" alt=\"SAMSUNG CSC\" width=\"507\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">SAMSUNG CSC<\/p><\/div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-8847\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/image17.jpg\" alt=\"SAMSUNG CSC\" width=\"1728\" height=\"1152\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On Friday, the 13th, was the \u201cDay of Music and Dance,\u201d presenting the film \u201cRaul Seixas &#8211; The Beginning, the End and the Middle,\u201d directed by Walter Carvalho. Then the audience offered a dance performance &#8220;The Popular Becomes Classic in Bahia,\u201d with the performance of Talita Melo and Victor Vitt\u00f3ria.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/SAM_6268.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-8854\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-8854\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/SAM_6268.jpg\" alt=\"SAMSUNG CSC\" width=\"503\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, the 14th, we had the presentation of the ICBIE Theater and Music Piccola Cia (actors: Talita Melo, Lucas Nunes, Victor Vitt\u00f3ria, Jean Jesus, Matheus Kawan, directed by Alex Nascimento), and the concert show \u201cCl\u00e1ssico Baiano\u201d with G\u00e9ssica Lima and Marlene Rosa (vocals), Eduardo Santana (7 string guitar) and Leandro Alc\u00e2ntara (percussion).
