Last Sunday was a busy one at the ICBIE. We opened the event dedicated to Fashion, Theater and Dance with a workshop in re-adapting clothing items from our bazaar (which continues to operate through the 20th of December!). The professional advice given by Sista Katia enchanted the participants with her creations, especially her original and surprising t-shirts. Her models were shown to the public at the opening of the performances of dance and theater.\u00a0 The Street Dance group “Os novatos\u201d presented a lively choreography that confronted contemporary issues affecting Brazilian youth. Right after that, Paco Gomes, an internationally famous choreographer from Salvador, got everyone involved in an open session, an initiation to contemporary dance, followed by a group of his students from the FUNCEB, with a choreography entitled \u201cOrix\u00e3s Contemporaneo\u201d. The show kept the audience spellbound.<\/p>\n

We were also left speechless with the intense and evocative presentation by our two students,\u00a0 Jamile (percussion) and Gabriela (voice), with their dramatization of “Conscienza Nera,” a text by Fabio Brazza. Then came a performance by the Little Theater and Music Company of the ICBIE, with a scenic representation of texts extracted from \u201cWhen the Last Dry Leaf Will Fall,” by Marjorie dos Anjos.<\/p>\n

Topping off the evening, we were honored by a performance of modern contemporary music with famous musicians from Berlin: the singers Anna Clementi and Hedda Oledki, and the bass player and sound engineer Thomas Stern. The first piece was by the well-known German artist Kurt Schwitters with his Alles im\u00a0Schwittersland<\/em>, and the second was a new work by the composer Laurie Schwartz, who is here in Salvador and wrote a piece in homage to Bahia and to Ribeira entitled The Baroness in Bahia with Bola\u00f1o<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Abrimos o evento da moda, teatro e dan\u00e7a com uma oficina de customiza\u00e7\u00e3o das pe\u00e7as expostas e em venda no nosso bazar (que continua aberto at\u00e9 o dia 20 de dezembro!!!). A profissional Sista Katia encantou os participantes da oficina com as suas cria\u00e7\u00f5es, sobretudo camisetas originais e bem diferenciadas. Os modelos foram mostrados ao p\u00fablico na abertura das apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es de dan\u00e7a e teatro. O grupo de Street Dance \u201cOs novatos\u201d apresentaram uma coreografia bem ritmada e \u00a0n\u00e3o deixou de abordar os temas atuais relativos \u00e0 juventude brasileira. Logo depois o core\u00f3grafo soteropolitano de fama internacional Paco Gomes envolveu todos em uma aula aberta de inicia\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 dan\u00e7a contempor\u00e2nea e logo depois apresentou o grupo dos seus alunos da Funceb na coreografia \u201cOrix\u00e1s Contempor\u00e2neos\u201d. O espet\u00e1culo encantou o p\u00fablico presente.<\/p>\n

E ficamos sem palavras tamb\u00e9m com a sugestiva e forte apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o das nossas alunas Jamile (atabaque) e Gabriela (voz) com a leitura dram\u00e1tica do texto de F\u00e1bio Brazza, \u201cConsci\u00eancia Negra\u201d. Logo depois a Piccola Cia. de teatro e m\u00fasica do Icbie apresentou uma encena\u00e7\u00e3o de alguns trechos do livro \u201cQuando a \u00faltima folha seca cair\u201d de Marjorie dos Anjos.<\/p>\n

E para concluir tivemos a honra de assistir a um concerto de m\u00fasica moderna e contempor\u00e2nea\u00a0\u00a0de m\u00fasicos \u00a0famosos de Berlim: as cantoras \u00a0Anna Clementi e Hedda Oledzki, e o contrabaixista e engenheiro do som Thomas Stern. Os dois trechos de m\u00fasica tocados eram de um conhecido artista alem\u00e3o, Kurt Schwitters com o seu Alles im\u00a0Schwittersland<\/em>\u00a0e da compositora Laurie Schwartz, que tamb\u00e9m estava presente,\u00a0 escreveu a sua obra,\u00a0executada\u00a0pela primeira vez, em homenagem a Bahia e a Ribeira de Salvador, The Baroness in Bahia with Bola\u00f1o.<\/em><\/p>\n

Mais uma vez ficamos felizes com a resposta do p\u00fablico e agradecemos de cora\u00e7\u00e3o todos os \u00f3timos artistas que nos prestigiaram com as suas apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es.

Abbiamo aperto l\u00b4evento di moda, teatro e danza con un workshop di riadattamento di pezzi di abbigliamento esposti e in vendita nel nostro bazar (che continua aperto fino al 20 dicembre!!!). La professionista Sista Katia ha incantato i partecipanti con le sue creazioni, soprattutto magliette originali e ben diversificate. I modelli sono stati mostrati al pubblico all\u00b4apertura delle performance di danza e teatro. Il gruppo di Street Dance \u201cOs novatos\u201d hanno presentato una coreografia ben ritmata e che non ha tralasciato di affrontare i temi attuali della giovent\u00f9 brasiliana. Subito dopo il coreografo di Salvador di fama internazionale, Paco Gomes ha coinvolto tutti in un\u00b4aula aperta di iniziazione alla danza contemporanea e subito dopo ha presentato il gruppo dei suoi alunni della Funceb nella coreografia \u201cOrix\u00e3s Contemporaneo\u201d. Lo spettacolo ha incantato il pubblico presente.<\/p>\n

E siamo rimasti senza parole anche com la suggestiva e intensa presentazione delle nostre due alunne Jamile (percussioni) e Gabriela (voce) com la lettura drammatizzata del testo di Fabio Brazza \u201cConscienza Nera\u201d. Subito dopo la Piccola Compagnia di teatro e musica dell\u00b4Icbie ha messo in scena alcuni testi estratti dal libro \u201cQuando l\u00b4ultima foglia secca cadr\u00e0\u201d di Marjorie dos Anjos.<\/p>\n

E per concludere abbiamo avuto l\u00b4onore di assistere ad un concerto di musica moderna e contemporanea di famosi musicisti di Berlino: le cantanti Anna Clementi e Hedda Oledki, il contrabbassista e ingegnere del suono Thomas Stern.
