Testimonials from ICBIE Friends, Volunteers and Students<\/strong><\/p>\n

To engage our whole community in the festivities for the ten years of activity of the Institute, we asked those who were affiliated with the Institute, either in the past or in the present, to write a brief description of what the ICBIE means to them, together with a few significant photos that remember their moments at the ICBIE.<\/p>\n

I am happy and honored to have been an ICBIE student. I thank Professor Marlene for her competence and her\u00a0 excellent teaching: I really learned a lot! I consider myself privileged to be a part of this family.<\/p>\n

VALDENICE SANTANA<\/p>\n

The ICBIE was a milestone in my life.\u00a0 I never would have immagined that I could become fluent in another language during my lifetime, but I was “forced” to do it. The dedication and the methods used by Marlene made it all possible, and it was. The ICBIE offered me a structure where I wouldn’t have learned if I didn’t really want to. I am very grateful for the learning and for the experiences that I had with all the collaborators.\u00a0 I would like to say a special thank you to Pietro and to Marlene, who accepted me in such a special way. The ICBIE, for me, is like a second home, but at the beginning it was something unusual and strange, and I seemed to be on another planet. From the ICBIE I received a new vision of people, of culture, of the world, of life\u2026 today I have a different way of thinking about the world and I manage to travel without even leaving the place where I am. Thank you ICBIE, for letting me get to know a new and beautiful perspective on life.<\/p>\n

Sinto-me muito feliz e honrada de ter sido uma das alunas do ICBIE. Agrade\u00e7o a professora Marlene por sua compet\u00eancia e \u00f3tima did\u00e1tica, aprendi muito! Me considero privilegiada por fazer parte dessa fam\u00edlia.<\/p>\n

VALDENICE SANTANA
\nO ICBIE foi um marco em minha vida. Nunca tinha imaginado ter flu\u00eancia em outro idioma, mas fui \u201cfor\u00e7ada\u201d a ter. A dedica\u00e7\u00e3o e a metodologia usada por Marlene fez parecer poss\u00edvel e foi. O ICBIE me ofereceu uma estrutura onde eu s\u00f3 n\u00e3o aprenderia se realmente n\u00e3o quisesse. L\u00b4ICBIE \u00e9 per me una seconda casa, ma in un primo momento \u00e9 stato qualcosa di inusuale e strano, mi sembrava di essere in un altro pianeta. A partire dall\u00b4ICBIE ho avuto una nuova visione delle persone, delle culture, del mondo, della vita…..oggi ho un pensiero diverso sul mondo e riesco a viaggiare senza neanche spostarmi dal luogo in cui sono.
