By a series of fortuitous coincidences, our Institute has built a special connection with the state of Michigan. First of all, Roy was born and raised there, and for that reason, Pietro has visited there twice. Then, a year ago, our brilliant student Meg Boaventura won a scholarship from the Federal University of Bahia to study at Roy’s alma mater, Michigan State University, where she formed some important contacts that led to today’s visit by nine freshmen students and two professors from MSU, who have come to Salvador on one of the university’s many international programs.<\/p>\n

Led by Professor Jade Sims of the International Business School and Residential Coordinator Edoardo Olivo, the students came to Ribeira to visit the ICBIE. Pietro, Meg, Marcella, Cristina, Rosilene and Roy showed them our facilities and told them about our work, while a visit to our Peninsula Memories Museum gave them a special introduction to the unique history of the Cidade baixa.<\/p>\n

Por causa de alguns eventos totalmente casuais, o nosso Instituto construiu um la\u00e7o especial com o estado norte americano do Michigan. Primeira coisa Roy nasceu e se criou l\u00e1 e por esse motivo, Pietro j\u00e1 visitou o lugar por duas vezes. E tamb\u00e9m, um ano atr\u00e1s a nossa brilhante estudante Meg Boaventura ganhou uma bolsa de estudo da Universidade Federal da Bahia para estudar na alma mater de Roy, a Universidade do Estado do Michigan (MSU), onde ela fez alguns contatos importantes que resultou na visita de hoje: nove novos estudantes (matr\u00edculas) e dois professores da MSU vieram a Salvador atrav\u00e9s de um dos numerosos programas internacionais da Universidade.<\/a><\/p>\n

Acompanhados pela professora Jade Sims da Escola Internacional de Business e pelo coordenador residente Edoardo Olivo, os estudantes vieram a Ribeira para visitar o ICBIE. Pietro, Meg, Marcella, Cristina, Rosilene e Roy os mostraram o nosso Instituto e falaram do nosso trabalho, e a visita ao MePe (Museu das Mem\u00f3rias da Pen\u00ednsula de Itapagipe) deu \u00e0 eles uma introdu\u00e7\u00e3o especial da hist\u00f3ria \u00fanica da Cidade Baixa.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Per una serie di coincidenze fortuite, il nostro Istituto ha costruito un legame speciale con lo stato americano del Michigan. Prima di tutto, Roy \u00e8 nato e cresciuto l\u00ec, e per questo motivo, Pietro lo ha visitato due volte. Poi, un anno fa, la nostra brillante studentessa Meg Boaventura ha vinto una borsa di studio presso l’Universit\u00e0 Federale di Bahia per studiare presso l’alma mater di Roy, la Michigan State University (MSU), dove ha costruito alcuni importanti contatti che hanno portato alla visita di oggi di nove studenti matricole e due professori della MSU, che sono venuti a Salvador attraverso uno dei tanti programmi internazionali dell’universit\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Guidati dalla professoressa Jade Sims dell’International Business School e dal coordinatore residente Edoardo Olivo, gli studenti sono venuti a Ribeira a visitare l’ICBIE. Pietro, Meg, Marcella, Cristina, Rosilene e Roy gli hanno mostrato le nostre strutture e gli hanno parlato del nostro lavoro, mentre una visita al nostro Museo delle Memorie della Peninsula ha dato loro una speciale introduzione alla storia unica della Cidade Baixa.<\/p>\n
