We enthusiastically participated in the party\/celebration marking six years since the opening of the Plastic City Project, held in the favela’s community center directed by Ana Vaneska.\u00a0 This courageous lady, who initiated the collaboration for the construction of a people’s soup kitchen by the Swiss cooks from Cuisine sans fronti\u00e8re<\/em> and who conducted the (difficult) continuation as the Cooperativa Zeferina<\/em>, without further help from the Swiss association.\u00a0 In fact, that association creates, assists, teaches and pays salaries to the kitchen’s workers for the first year (three had already passed), with the intent of rendering them able to work alone and organizing them with the goal of creating an autonomous cooperative.\u00a0\u00a0 The Swiss association carries out this work in various third world countries.\u00a0 We at the ICBIE have committed ourselves to assist them and to offer them in our Piccola Ribeira<\/em> hostel when they come to Salvador from time to time; and furthermore, Marlene is the official representative for Cuisine sans fronti\u00e8re<\/em> in their rapport with the new Cooperativa Zeferina<\/em>; in that way we have all participated in this end of August party\/celebration, as if it were in some small way our success, too.\u00a0 Julio & Bigod were there to paint the walls of the favela, assisted by the local kids; then there was the showing of a film, a concert and a ballet.<\/p>\n

Assistimos com entusiasmo a festa\/celebra\u00e7\u00e3o dos 6 anos de abertura do projeto Cidade de plastico no local da favela dirigido por Ana Vaneska. Esta corajosa senhora que abriu a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o para a constru\u00e7\u00e3o da cantina cozinha popular pelos cozinheiros su\u00ed\u00e7os de Cuisine sans fronti\u00e8re e a (dif\u00edcil) continua\u00e7\u00e3o como Cooperativa Zeferina, sem a ajuda da associa\u00e7\u00e3o su\u00ed\u00e7a. De fato, essa associa\u00e7\u00e3o cria, ajuda, ensina, paga sal\u00e1rios aos empregados da cantina para o primeiro ano (e j\u00e1 passaram tr\u00eas… ) para acostum\u00e1-los a trabalhar sozinho e e organiz\u00e1-los para criar o objetivo \u00faltimo de uma autonomia cooperativa. Essas a\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o realizadas por esta associa\u00e7\u00e3o su\u00ed\u00e7a em v\u00e1rios pa\u00edses do terceiro mundo. O ICBIE esta comprometido em apoia-los e em hospeda-los na nossa Piccola Ribeira, quando, ocasionalmente, eles v\u00eam em Salvador, al\u00e9m disso Marlene \u00e9 a representante oficial da Cuisine sans fronti\u00e8re na renovada Cooperativa Zeferina, assim todos n\u00f3s j\u00e1 temos participado nesta celebra\u00e7\u00e3o-festa no final de agosto, como se o sucesso fosse tamb\u00e9m, numa pequena parte, o nosso. Julio & Bigod grafitaram as paredes da favela juntos com as crian\u00e7as do lugar, em seguida houve filme, show e dan\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

Abbiamo assistito con entusiasmo alla festa\/celebrazione relativa a 6 anni di apertura del progetto cidade de plastico nel locale comunitario della favela diretto da Ana Vaneska. Questa valorosa signora che ha aperto la collaborazione per la costruzione della mensa del popolo da parte dei cuochi svizzeri di Cuisine sans fronti\u00e8re e la (difficile) continuazione come Cooperativa Zeferina, senza pi\u00f9 aiuto dell\u2019associazione svizzera. Infatti tale associazione crea, aiuta, insegna, paga salari ai lavoratori della mensa per il primo anno (ne erano passati gi\u00e0 tre…) al fine di abituarli a lavorare da soli e organizzandoli per creare come obiettivo finale una cooperativa autonoma. Tali azioni vengono svolte da questa associazione svizzera in vari paesi del terzo mondo. Noi dell\u2019ICBIE siamo impegnati nel sostenerli e nell\u2019alloggiarli nella nostra Piccola Ribeira quando vengono di tanto in tanto a Salvador; e inoltre Marlene \u00e8 rappresentante ufficiale di Cuisine sans fronti\u00e8re nei rapporti con la nuova Cooperativa Zeferina; cos\u00ec abbiamo partecipato tutti a questa celebrazione-festa di fine agosto come se fosse anche in piccolissima parte un nostro successo. Ci sono stati Julio & Bigod a graffittare i muri della favela insieme ai bambini del luogo; poi \u00e8 stato proiettato un film; concerto di musica, e balletto.<\/p>\n
