{"id":3622,"date":"2012-03-08T14:52:11","date_gmt":"2012-03-08T13:52:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/icbie.net\/blog\/?p=3622"},"modified":"2012-03-08T14:52:11","modified_gmt":"2012-03-08T13:52:11","slug":"the-icbie-cineforum-is-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/icbie.net.br\/en\/the-icbie-cineforum-is-back\/","title":{"rendered":"The ICBIE Cineforum Is Back!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/blog_old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/cine-arcos.jpg\" title=\"Cineforum for March\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.icbie.net\/blog_old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/cine-arcos.jpg\" alt=\"Cineforum for March\" height=\"606\" width=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the break from the beginning of the year to carnival, the ICBIE\u00a0 returns to present its Cineforum\u00a0every Friday starting at 7 PM, with film screenings followed by a debate. \u00a0Every month the ICBIE chooses a different theme for the Cineforum, and for the month of March, the theme will be &#8220;A Better Environment.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The first film on the program is WASTE LAND by Lucy Walker (USA 2010) with Vik Muniz, the plastic artist who worked in the giant Jardim Gramacho dump outside of Rio de Janeiro. \u00a0He used recycled materials, transforming them into art, revealing a surprising alchemy of the human spirit.<\/p>\n<p>Friday, March 9th at 7 PM. \u00a0Free admission.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>O ICBIE, depois do recesso do in\u00edcio do ano e do carnaval, volta apresentar o Cineforum, proje\u00e7\u00e3o de filmes seguidos de debate, todas as sextas-feiras a partir de 19h.<\/p>\n<p>Todos os meses o ICBIE apresenta um tema diferente para o Cineforum e para o m\u00eas de mar\u00e7o o tema ser\u00e1 \u201cMeio Ambiente\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>O primeiro filme em programa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 LIXO EXTRAORDINARIO de Lucy Walker (USA 2010) com Vik Muniz<\/p>\n<p>Um pouco sobre o filme:<\/p>\n<p>Filmado ao longo de dois anos (agosto de 2007 a maio de 2009), Lixo Extraordin\u00e1rio acompanha o trabalho do artista pl\u00e1stico Vik Muniz em um dos maiores aterros sanit\u00e1rios do mundo: o Jardim Gramacho, na periferia do Rio de Janeiro. L\u00e1, ele fotografa um grupo de catadores de materiais recicl\u00e1veis, com o objetivo inicial de retrat\u00e1-los. No entanto, o trabalho com esses personagens revela a dignidade e o desespero que enfrentam quando sugeridos a reimaginar suas vidas fora daquele ambiente.
